To reduce the influence of urea in printing technology on the environment, this paper compares the influence of different hygroscopic swelling agents such as urea, triethylene glycol and glycerol on K/S  value, filter degree and fixation efficiency of digital ink jet printing of silk fabrics with recycled reactive red and black ink as printing dyes and discusses the influence of thickener, sodium bicarbonate and sodium sulfate with different mass fractions in low urea state and ageing conditions on printing effect. The research finds that triethylene glycol can partly replace urea as cosolvent; the printing effect is better under the condition of urea with mass ratio 3︰7 and triethylene glycol 8%, self made thickener 6%, sodium bicarbonate 3% and sodium sulfate 5% and steaming for 30 min under 102 ℃. Color fastness to washing and color fastness to rubbing of printed fabrics reach over grade 3.
