Abstract:
This study prepares spun silk/chitosan blended yarn of three blending ratios, namely 90∶10, 80∶20 and 70∶30 through blending of spun silk and chitosan fiber with silk spinning technology, designs and weaves 16 fabrics with different mass fractions of chitosan fiber with spun silk/chitosan blended yarn and pure spun silk as warp and weft and tests and analyzes wearing properties of samples such as air permeability, anti-pilling resistance, wrinkle recoverability and draping. The result shows chitosan fiber can well improve the wearability of spun silk fabrics; compared to pure spun silk fabrics, spun silk/chitosan blended fabrics have better air permeability, anti-pilling resistance and wrinkle recoverability but poorer draping
