The influence of political marriage in Qing dynasty on the Mongol tribal costumes in Chifeng

Clothing is the most external characterization of the nation, reflecting the ethnic psychology and aesthetic feature of the Mongol tribes. The different costumes of Mongol tribes were created by the different background and geography. Among these Mongol tribes, Chifeng area of Inner Mongolia has the unique costumes style, the clothing owns a large exquisite embroidery; on the basis of retaining original shape of the mongolian robes, it also has a lot of similarities with the Manchu clothing style. In this paper, Chifeng Mongol tribal clothing was compared in shape, color, clothing accessories, etc. It was obtained that regional Mongol tribal costumes changed with national policy alter under some special historical conditions. All of these changes were acquired according to historical facts, from the Manchu and Mongolian relations and policy perspective
